I am a passionate software developer and software architect. In addition to adequate and properly documented modeling, applications must remain testable and, above all, maintainable.

Regarding my opinion what leadership means, I would like to mention a quote from one of my professors from university days:

A good team leader is characterized by the fact that he provides enough pizza and drinks at the right moment.

This joking quote has, from my point of view, an important message. One of the essential tasks of a team leader is to work for the team, to keep their back free, to take care of their worries and needs and, if necessary, to stay until the end.

Concerning the ways of project management, the agile way is often the best way. But I try to don’t think to much in drawers. Sometimes the best way is a compromiss between classical and agile project management.

I love to exchange ideas in a team and with my colleagues to work on solutions together. Over the years I have learned how critical the economic conditions of a software project are and how software is not an end in itself. As a software developer, you usually have conflicting goals between project time, project budget, your own and external quality requirements and your own interest in using new technologies and development methods. These conflicting goals have to be approached self-critically, flexibly, creatively and in a solution-oriented manner, taking into account the general economic conditions.
